What this looks like in practice.

Central Bank Digital Currency Infrastructure
Challenge. A central bank needed to design digital currency infrastructure — working through specific payment product implications and authentication, in compliance with regulation and technological standards, while identifying how to leverage innovation.
What we did. etonec supported the design of core product and payment flows, contributed to the authentication and security architecture, helped translate policy and regulatory requirements into technical and go-to-market decisions, and provided additional security support across the program.
Outcome. The central bank moved from policy-level CBDC objectives to a validated architecture and product design, ready for the next stage of development.

EUDI Strategy for a Global Payment Service Provider
Challenge. A global payment service provider needed to understand the EUDI Wallet and define a strategic response — including strategic use cases — ahead of mandatory-acceptance requirements.
What we did. etonec defined strategic use cases, built the business case, produced the technical specification and product design, and supported lobbying work.
Outcome. The PSP moved from general awareness of EUDI to a defined strategic position, prioritized use cases, and a clear view of the product and technical work required to act on it.

National EUDI Wallet Architecture
Challenge. A public-sector programme building national EUDI Wallet infrastructure needed architecture and security expertise to translate eIDAS 2.0 requirements into a workable, ecosystem-wide technical design.
What we did. etonec contributed to the wallet architecture and security design, and supported ecosystem and rollout considerations across the programme.
Outcome. The programme progressed with an architecture that addressed the relevant security and ecosystem requirements ahead of rollout.
